> Faced with the influx of requests, we have increased the number of registered participants at 8800.


> A game is organized by our  French Television partner “France 3” on their site www.aquitaine.france3.fr. It will allow 5 winners to participate to the 2010 Medoc Marathon for free.

On the top of that, the marathon will be broadcast on the Radio partner of ours “RTL2”


> Pauillac lies on the estuary of the Gironde (the biggest in Europe and told to be the cleanest). So we recommend you to visit it. In that purpose, the association "Stories of islands Estuary 2010" offers different boat cruses with entertainment (night of storytelling, walks on the bucolic island named “Ile Nouvelle” or outside movies theatre “Cinesite”). > The events around the marathon will be held this year at the beautiful castle “Chateau de Lamarque”. This castle is one of the oldest in the Médoc and dates back to 11th and 12th century. Its current owners Mr & Mrs Pierre Gilles Gromand Evry, are working hard to preserve the building's past splendour. A discovery of the castle and its wines is required for any good marathoner on their Web site : www.chateaudelamarque.fr

> For a better organisation, all entries to this year's meals ( Friday night diner “Mille Pates”, Pasta Party, Sunday lunch “Sans Pates” ) will be solely on presentation of a bracelet to be handed over at the Cosec building to those who made a previous booking of them.

> French Television partner “France 3” will produce from Pauillac a live broadcast from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday and the results will be available on their Web site at the end of the race.


> The distribution’s awards will take place this year on Saturday at 4:30 pm not inside the Cosec building as usually, but on the orchestra podium nearby the Pauillac harbour “Port de Plaisance”.


> On the race circuit, this year we change the direction of the circuit which goes primarily north to cross first Pauillac downtown and then the first loop to the village Saint Julien Beychevelle will be reverse from the previous years. The passage at the “Village de Bages” will be on the 19th km.


> No need to take your bike, they are banned on the circuit and thanks to the circuit which returns to Pauillac at the half marathon, you can see the runners many times.
